INFERNETZ composed of ‚INFormation‘ and ‚vERNETZung‘ (=networking), reflects our mission to foster mutual appreciation and understanding between locals and refugees coming to our country in need of assistance.
What we observe: Austrians display deep suspicion and, at times, even fear toward foreigners. Additionally, they harbor envy for the government benefits that refugees receive, benefits that seem to elude them. On the other hand, foreigners grapple with a variety of challenges, and it seems that nobody truly understands them.
What we also observe: So many intelligent, friendly, decent, and kind people who simply have no clue because they receive no information except for malicious fake news!
What we want to do: Once a week, we publish a blog post featuring:
Comments on current events, interviews with those affected, background information about reasons for fleeing, reports from foreign media, private witness videos, reports on the situation of unaccompanied minors, insights into asylum recognition procedures, information on ‘hot spot schools’, and much more.
We offer the opportunity to engage in extensive discussions on the various topics, with passion, expertise, and appreciation. Additionally, we are planning occasional in-person activities.”
We are a non-profit organization funded by membership fees and donations, and our work is voluntary.
Our team currently comprises committed individuals from Austria, Iran, Afghanistan, Syria and Yemen.
We welcome comments, suggestions, contributions, new members, friends, and supporters.
Warm regards
We would also be happy to provide personal information and answer any questions.
